A Living Galaxy
Sixteen star systems wired together by jump gates — each with its own economy, government, tech level and population. Fly into a gate to open the chart and pick your next destination.
Open-universe space-sim game
Trade. Hunt. Survive.
▣ A game for the M5Stack Cardputer the pocket-size ESP32 handheld with a built-in keyboard.
A whole space-trading game that runs entirely on a 240×135 screen — sixteen procedurally-built star systems, shaded polygon flight, a living economy and pirates that mean it. No phone, no cloud, no second device. Just the Cardputer in your hand and the void.
What's in the cockpit
Every system below is grown from a single seed — the same galaxy, the same prices, the same pirates, every boot. Original code, original universe.
Sixteen star systems wired together by jump gates — each with its own economy, government, tech level and population. Fly into a gate to open the chart and pick your next destination.
Real 3D space with coordinated banking turns. Shaded polygon planets, ringed worlds, asteroid belts and a sun hot enough to cook your hull — all rendered live on the handheld.
Seventeen commodities priced by supply, local law and your reputation. Buy low under one government, run narcotics past another, sell high one gate over.
Pulse, beam and military lasers. Up to four homing missiles with target lock, regenerating shields, and an ECM blast that scatters incoming fire before it lands.
Patrol, delivery, courier, recon and scavenge jobs off every planet's board — scaled in danger and pay by how far from home they send you.
Four factions track every kill and trade. Climb seven combat ranks from Harmless to Deadly — and sour the wrong faction, and its patrols start hunting you on sight.
Flight manual
There's no docking mini-game. Drift up against any planet and you land automatically — opening its market, equipment shop, mission board and status screen.
Fly physically into a system's jump gate and the galaxy chart opens. Pick a neighbouring system, confirm, and ride witchspace across — jumps cost credits by distance.
Stray too deep into a star's corona and the HEAT warning climbs. Push past it and your hull cooks — fly into the photosphere and you're gone instantly.
Traders are always open for business. Pirates and patrols only talk once you've shot their hull below 25% — your call whether that's mercy or salvage.
On the actual hardware
No pre-baked art or sprites — every frame is rendered on the Cardputer itself. These are real captures, pulled straight off the device with the in-game Ctrl+Space screenshot key.
Lift off
Hazke targets one specific handheld. If you have a Cardputer, you're three steps from the gate.

What changed and when. Save files carry their own format version and upgrade automatically, so a commander from an older release keeps flying on a newer one.
